Description

The mobile transmission standard HSPA+ is an enhancement to the 3G/ HSPA standard. Theoretically, it allows transfer rates of up to 21 MBit/s downstream. By now, the upgrade is finished in many countries. For that, the UMTS/HSPA+ Module provides long-term feasability. Included with the module comes a high quality direct mount cellular quad-band omnidirectional antenna which gives 2 dBi gain. The module‘s SMA connector may also be used in conjunction with any external high-gain cellular antenna for extended reach. Using such antennas, UMTS/3G or EDGE signal reception may be possible in areas with low signal coverage.
